Millfield Eco Lodge with views, and inside/outside hangouts

Very, very well looked after house, if you want style, comfort, high quality for your buck and class then this is the place, the HOSTS have thought of everything and I mean everything. I definitely will be returning and spreading the word on way a good time I had ant not to leave out the place...... One word to describe it, ummmm I will let you know wen they make that word but for now WOW!!

I’d read a couple of reviews online that weren’t great for this place. Some complaints about cleanliness and the weekenda hosts. I have to say, for us this place was great. It’s not brand new at all but the place has a really rustic feel and it’s pet friendly accomodation so to have a spotless brand new place would have made me a bit nervous anyway. The house was really well kitted out in the kitchen, again some reviews complained about the oven - the buttons are a bit faded but we found a video on youtube showing a trick on how to work it so no major issues. There were plenty of pots and pans, a dishwasher, large fridge and a butler’s pantry. Honestly no complaints. The living room space had lots of seating, a fantastic fire place and there was lots of rustic furniture throughout the place. We stayed for a couple of nights with four adults and one child, there was plenty of space in the three bedrooms and two bathrooms. We would definitely stay at this place again.

Comfortable, well-designed home close to Hunter Valley vineyards. Perfect for a relaxing weekend with friends. Secure yard for our dog. The kitchen was very well-equipped. Would stay again!

The utensils, cutlery and all that’s needed for cooking is well stored. Lovely touches and details in the decorations giving you a home away from home feel.

Was a fantastic stay, great fireplace and kitchen for 3 couples staying there. We actually ran out of water at the property as they use storage tanks and the property manager was on it straight away. Very responsive and really kept us informed as this was out of their control. They got a handyman out there straight away and within a few hours we had water again, overall still a great experience!

The pluses were: * Good open living space * Plenty of room for 6 people without feeling on top of each other * Great fireplace outside for evening gatherings * BBQ facilities for cooking outdoors * A separate ‘wing’ ideal for a private couple with en-suite and walk-in robe * Plenty of cooking utilities * Loads of board games * Free wifi * Pet friendly This is a fantastic space to relax and really disconnect from the stresses of life with friends. We all thoroughly enjoyed our time there, as did our four-legged friend. We would definitely recommend.

Interesting house, comfy beds, great kitchen. Master suite good, but a bit of a drainage problem with 4 people using the shower.
