The Ponderosa on Merewether, more like a Resort than a Homestead

Lovely spacious home with air conditioning and a pool. You can collect fresh eggs for breakfast from the chooks in the backyard, play ping pong and totem tennis and there’s lots of books and board games. Matt the host was very helpful at 9 pm on Saturday night when a brown out from the extreme temps caused the burglar alarm to go off. Would recommend for a family with kids or group of friends

There is no doubt this property is one of our favourites. Located a short drive from the main areas of the Hunter, it offers space to relax and a very peaceful atmosphere. Modern facilities give you all the creature comforts of home. Great for us to relax after a busy day of work. Thanks goes to the Weekenda crew for always looking after us.

The best property we have ever stayed at. Unbelievable well cared for home and an ideal location. Heaps of kangaroos around the place and the bush sounds are amazing!

We had a lovely stay - found great restaurants and food and wine to enjoy on the property. This is well appointed home with lots of space inside and out. For us the highlight was the great pool. Little touches like the fruit platter and wine were a lovely surprise on arrival, after a long drive.

We loved our stay in this beautiful home. Everything was immaculate. Kitchen made for a chef and herb garden out the back to complete it. We loved sitting out on the back deck. This home is suitable for families or friends with heaps of space. Pool look great (bit cold this time of year but clean and well presented none the less). Waiting on our next Hunter event to be announced so we can return.

Quality furnishings and fittings is what really makes this place. All those little details have been well thought of. The home is loved so you instantly fall in love as well. A few personal touches from the owner completes the package. An easy and comfortable, luxurious stay - we'll be back!
