For just $35 per head, immerse yourself in the Tamburlaine 'Tour and Taste' showcase offering complimentary wine tasting with accompanying cheese and crackers. This is your opportunity to go “behind the scenes” of Tamburlaine Organic Vineyard and really make the most of your Hunter visit.

Moorebank: At 10am each Saturday Moorebank Wines offer a VIP tasting in the private cellar room for Weekenda guests. As these deals will go out to 250 people most weekends this tends to book out quickly and only the first 20 people to book will confirm a spot. To secure call and ask for Deb on 0249987610. Address : Palmers Lane, Pokolbin and when you are finished pop across the road to The Verandah Restaurant for the Hunter's best Tapas restaurant.

Wynwood: Wynwood Wines have some of the Hunter oldest vines and produce some special wines. The Verdehlo is the boss' wife's favourite but she also loves the Sparkling Verdelho. Ring and ask for Matt 0249987885 - Address :  310 Oakey Creek Rd, Pokolbin and they will book you into a private tasting room and probably through in some nice cheeses as well while they take you through the range. next door is Twine restaurant which has one of the best views in the Hunter, perfect for lunch on Sat but we prefer a lazy Sunday lunch. In Winter they do this fireside.

Glandore: Weekenda guests may enjoy a sumptuous Wine & Chocolate Experience beautifully matched to a selection of Glandore wines. Hand crafted chocolates by Adora make for the ultimate indulgence when paired with wine. Tyrrells: Experience first hand the old vats, red clay dirt cellar and unique history that is Tyrrells Wines. Gartelmann Wines: Another favourite in the Hunter! If you are a guest staying at Gartelmann's you will enjoy a free bottle of wine on arrival and don't worry all Weekenda guests won't miss out on trying this amazing wine... just show your confirmation email to receive 15% discount on any wine purchase at the Cellar Door.

LOCAL DINING 

There are many fantastic local & resort restaurants for breakfast, lunch and dinner. You are really spoilt for choice.  For 5 star (2 hats) we love Muse (bookings only). Other top notch are Muse Kitchen, Bistro Molines (our fave for lunch), Circa 1876, EXP, The Cellar, Botanica, Emersons and Esca. 

For more medium priced you can't go past The Verandah, Oiishi and Ill Cacciatore for casual take-out pizza on Friday nights. Also a winner for pizza is Two Fat Blokes. Petersons Champagne House is a larger more commercial operation for breakfast along with Epicure (locals favourite where you get a free cup of coffee with every breakfast you purchase). The Deck is our breakfast fave. 

Oiishi is another favourite of ours for Thai/Japanese at Tempus Two and no visit to the Hunter would be complete without going to Sabor Dessert restaurant which is also closeby.
